Overview

We are seeking an Account Executive to join our growing health practice, which is experiencing significant expansion. The ideal candidate will be deeply passionate about the health sector and bring 2+ years of health expertise, including executing on strategic earned marketing campaigns reaching consumers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders, such as policy makers. This is a junior level position where you’ll work collaboratively with team members on key account projects and help organize the team around upcoming assignments. You will work as the right-hand to mid-levels on the team contributing to the overall strategic direction of an account. 

 

Our candidate will be experienced working on integrated teams in areas such as strategy, analytics, measurement, creative, earned media, and engagement/account with proven ability to tell client stories in authentic and creative ways. 

 

In this position you’ll work collaboratively with team members on key account projects and help organize the team around upcoming assignments. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the healthcare industry and agency and explore different roles and skillsets within marketing and communications. 

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of integrated, strategic programs for clients with strategic insights, creative platforms, meaningful metrics and authentic storytelling
  • Develop initial integrated approaches with guidance from SAE/AM
  • Maintain regular and clear communication with team and client, own account projects from start to finish and proactively flag opportunities for clients.  
  • Build media relationships on behalf of the client and the agency and c Conduct media outreach and follow ups with guidance from senior team members pitching news announcements around client milestones.
  • Develop PR content and materials including press releases, speaker submissions, blog and social media content and bylines, etc. for review by a senior team member. 
  • Oversee junior team members and provide direction, edits, and support on assignments. 
  • Serve as a day-to-day client contact on smaller account teams, building strong relationships with client contacts. 
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the healthcare industry and competitors for every client to provide recommendations on strategies to internal colleagues and clients, as appropriate.  
  • Assist in providing clear client communication under the direction of your account leads
  • Produce monthly or weekly reports outlining key activities and initiatives
  • Participate in new business research, pitch development and presentations, as appropriate.
  • Promote and uphold Allison’s core values; participates in agency-wide training and professional development programs. 

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a junior employee in public relations, marketing, or a related field. Account Executives at Allison typically have a minimum of 2+ years of experience.
  • Health Industry background and/or interest strongly preferred. 
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn and enthusiastic about the work. 
  • The aptitude to handle high priority and high-pressure situations with poise.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Critical thinking to help shape programs, advise junior team members, and make recommendations to clients.
  • Comfortable working in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel alongside Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Proficient with media monitoring and data analytics tools including Muckrack, Cision, Critical Mention, etc.

Compensation

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $55K-$70K.  Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
