Overview

We are seeking an Account Manager to join our team. This is a mid-level position where you’ll lead day-to-day account work and serve as a primary contact for clients. Your focus will be on guiding the team through daily assignments while developing overarching strategies to support long-term account success. Account Managers at Allison play a pivotal role in new business. 

Responsibilities

  • Support large, integrated account with a focus on public relations.  
  • Manages PR campaign timelines, deliverables, and milestones, ensuring projects stay on track and within scope 
  • Support the execution of daily product communications responsibilities, with a strong focus on implementing strategic plans and tactical initiatives—particularly in earned media relations and product review programs. 
  • Creates a variety of written materials, including press releases, media pitches and media audits 
  • Assists in identifying and drafting speaking submissions, awards under the guidance of senior team members 
  • Contributes to client planning initiatives owning sections of plan development 
  • Cultivates and sustains relationships with technology and lifestyle product journalists, editors, influencers and media professionals across print, broadcast, and digital platforms 
  • Has an understanding of the analyst landscape, how to navigate analyst relationships driving results for brands 
  • Comfortable contributing vocally in status meetings and coordinating follow up activities across team members 
  • Identifies media opportunities, crafts pitches, and secures coverage 
  • Manages and staffs media events 
  • Comfortable spending time in client environment (visiting offices, events, etc.) 
  • Drive day-to-day media strategy and implementation; tracking against KPIs.  
  • Adapt to evolving client priorities and adjust plans and activities accordingly.    
  • Act in a supervisory role to junior account team providing consistent feedback, guidance and support.   
  • Promote and uphold Allison’s core values; participates in agency-wide training and professional development programs.   

Qualifications

  • Must have experience working as a senior account executive, account manager or equivalent in public relations, marketing or a related field. Account Managers at Allison typically have a minimum of 5+ years of experience.  
  • Show strong interest and knowledge in consumer electronics, particularly laptops, mobile devices and regularly monitors trends, news, and competitor moves to stay informed 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to anticipate client and team needs 
  • Comfortable participating in client meetings and contributing to discussions; beginning to build confidence in delivering light counsel with support from senior team members 
  • Tech-focused media relations knowledge 
  • Understands the practical application of AI tools in communications (media list building, content ideation, sentiment analysis, drafting, etc.) and actively integrates AI into workflows. 
  • Adaptable. Thrives in fast-paced environments and remains flexible and composed when priorities shift or timelines tighten 
  • Proactive - brings new ideas and opportunities to the table, even amidst ambiguity 
  • Strong writer and editor.    
  • Proficiency in using a media monitoring and data analytics tool like Muckrack, Critical Mention, Meltwater and Cision.    
  • Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, alongside Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $72k-$108k. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
