Overview

We are seeking an Account Coordinator to join our Corporate Practice. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone looking to build a career in public relations. You’ll gain hands-on experience across key areas including media relations, content development, and client service.

 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing targeted media lists, monitoring news trends, pitching to media, supporting team operations, and contributing to client deliverables. You’ll work closely with team members at all levels and be part of a collaborative, fast-paced environment that values curiosity, initiative, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Join client and team calls; take clear notes and identify follow-up actions
  • Draft written materials such as media pitches, press releases, briefing documents, and bylines
  • Monitor client, competitor, and industry news and flag relevant coverage
  • Build and maintain media and influencer lists tailored to specific clients and campaigns
  • Conduct media outreach (under guidance) and track resulting coverage
  • Research and compile speaking opportunities, award submissions, and event calendars
  • Create weekly and monthly reports summarizing account activity
  • Use tools like MuckRack, Cision, Meltwater, and Critical Mention for media monitoring and reporting
  • Support new business efforts by conducting market and competitive research
  • Participate in company training programs and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture

Qualifications

  • Internship/apprenticeship experience in PR, marketing, communications or a related field (preferred)
  • Interest in corporate communications, financial services, or B2B sectors
  • Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn
  • High attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams)
  • Ability to work collaboratively, take feedback, and meet deadlines

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $45k-$55k. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
