Overview

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our Corporate Practice. This is a junior to mid-level position where you may serve as an account lead on smaller teams and/or lead individual workstreams for larger, integrated accounts. Senior Account Executives work as the right-hand to the account manager and/or director, helping to drive ongoing account work while contributing to the overall strategic direction of client programs.

In this position, you’ll help guide and support junior team members through project management, content development, and day-to-day execution, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and aligned with client objectives. This role also requires proactive engagement on client calls, in presentations, and in day-to-day communication with clients and internal teams.

This role will support B2B clients in sectors such as energy, industrials, and financial services —helping them build visibility through strategic content, earned media, and thought leadership platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior account leads to develop and implement media relations and thought leadership strategies across traditional and emerging channels
  • Actively pitch media and secure coverage; develop relationships with journalists and editors in the business, energy/industrials, finance, and tech media spaces
  • Lead content development efforts including op-eds, bylines, media materials, and executive talking points
  • Help manage project timelines and deliverables while delegating tasks and reviewing work from junior team members
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients, including leading portions of regular updates and supporting status meetings
  • Begin to build capabilities in integrated campaign planning, including paid and owned media, digital content, and influencer strategy
  • Participate in brainstorms and contribute to new business opportunities, including writing first-draft content and conducting media research
  • Model collaboration, curiosity, and professionalism in line with Allison’s core values, and engage in agency training and mentorship opportunities

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in public relations, corporate communications, or a related field, ideally in an agency setting
  • Demonstrated experience in media relations, content development, and thought leadership for clients in B2B, energy, industrials and/or financial services
  • A proven track record of pitching and securing media placements in top-tier, trade, and vertical outlets
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail, and a commitment to quality, clarity, and deadlines
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences and platforms
  • Interest in mentoring and supporting junior talent, and a desire to grow as a team lead
  • Familiarity with media monitoring and analytics tools like Muckrack, Cision, Meltwater, or Critical Mention
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Zoom, and Teams

Benefits

  • Hybrid work environment with home and office schedule (2+ days in office per week) and work from anywhere weeks
  • Comprehensive health benefits (healthcare, vision, dental, pet, home, and auto insurance)
  • Generous time off policies (unlimited paid time off, wellness days, national holidays, summer Fridays)
  • Four-week sabbatical every five years of employment
  • Exceptional parental leave benefits
  • Global mentorship and networking programs
  • Monthly cell phone reimbursement
  • 401k savings and employee stock purchase plan
  • Volunteer hours (20 hours annually) for designated non-profit partner and personal choice
  • Globally driven inclusive initiatives (Employee Advocacy Groups, equity committee)
  • Career growth opportunities, such as Allison University (multi-day customized trainings for each level)
