We are seeking a Public Relations Senior Account Executive with experience in Consumer PR to join our Tokyo team. This is a full-time, hybrid role designed for mid- and entry-level professionals who bring a mix of creativity, organization, and strategic thinking to the table.
You’ll be an integral part of the team, driving consumer campaigns and initiatives for top global and local brands. The ideal candidate is a bilingual communicator—native-level Japanese with strong English skills—who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role will touch on everything from crafting bilingual press materials to managing influencer programs and executing consumer events.
Lead and support day-to-day public relations activities across multiple consumer clients
Draft, edit, and translate press materials and client communications in both Japanese and English
Build and maintain strong relationships with key media and consumer lifestyle influencers
Plan and manage influencer collaborations, seeding programs, and brand activations
Oversee execution of consumer-facing events, product launches, and press conferences
Manage external vendors, including event production and creative partners
Contribute to strategic planning, brainstorms, and campaign development
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members
Monitor media coverage and consumer trends to identify timely opportunities
Participate in new business development and pitches, as needed
Champion Allison’s inclusive culture and support training and development efforts
Experience in public relations, preferably in consumer/lifestyle brands
Native-level Japanese and strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
Experience managing media and influencer relationships in Japan
Strong press writing and translation skills in both languages
Proven track record in event planning and vendor coordination
Creative thinker with strong organizational and planning skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Office suite, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams
Familiarity with media and social monitoring tools is a plus
